There are various forms of gymnastics, each requires physical strength, flexibility, endurance, good coordination and balance. Some exercises are done in an artful dance whilst moving to the rhythm. Others display skills of working on a beam or the use of rings.

The sport has had new infusions from some famous African Americans like Gabby and Simone. Both male and female take part in this sport. Gymnastics origins can be traced as far back as ancient Egypt where their flexible bodies are highlighted in their hieroglyphics.
